Camp Andrews' Orientation Trip runs every year on the second weekend in May (Mother's Day weekend), from Wednesday evening to Sunday evening. It is designed for staff from the groups that plan to do a trip with us later in the summer, whether it's a gear rental only trip or a guided trip. We train these mission staff at different levels of river safety skills and camping skills as well as leadership skills and group dynamic skills by using both a lecture format and an experiential format. The trip is also a wonderful time of establishing relationship between our staff and mission staff that allows us to better partner during the summer trips.
